When discussing the qualitative renaissance of the Zürichsee wine region, one name invariably comes first: Erich Meier. Over the past two decades, few winemakers have done more to elevate the reputation of Lake Zurich wines. Today, his estate stands among the finest in Switzerland and has helped demonstrate that the Zürichsee is capable of producing wines that can compete with the country’s leading producers.
